The Zimmerman Ranch is located approximately 15 air miles directly west of the community of McDermitt, Nevada. The ranch straddles the Nevada Oregon border in the southeastern portion of the Trout Creek Mountains. Solely situated within the Zimmerman Basin, the deeded lands offer approximately 13 miles of various streams used for irrigation, stock water and Lahontan cutthroat trout recovery. Disaster Peak, a prominent land mark, is situated along the southwestern boundary of the BLM permit and is reportedly named after a nearby Indian/military battle which resulted in the death of Lt.
